Therapy should be accessible to everyone.

Cost is one of the most common reasons people put off therapy — and we take that seriously. We work with most major insurance providers, accept HSA and FSA cards, and our client care team will walk you through your options before you commit to anything. If you have questions about affordability, just ask. We'll figure it out together.

Self-Pay Rates Transparent Pricing

These are our standard rates for clients who are uninsured, out-of-network, or prefer to pay privately. If you have insurance, your negotiated in-network rate will apply instead — typically lower than the rates below.

Standard Session 55-Minute Session ~$220 per session

Our most common session length for individual, couples, or family therapy.

Shorter Session 45-Minute Session ~$170 per session

Available for follow-up appointments and certain care plans.

Group Therapy Group Sessions Varies by group type

Contact our client care team for current group options and pricing.

Using insurance? Your actual cost will depend on your specific plan, deductible status, and copay. We verify your benefits as part of the intake process so you know what to expect before your first session. We cannot guarantee specific out-of-pocket amounts — your insurance provider is the best source for that information.

Insurance Accepted Plans We Work With

Brighter Sky Counseling is in-network with the following plans. Our client care team will confirm your coverage and verify your benefits before scheduling — at no cost to you.

Blue Cross Blue Shield

First Choice Health
EBMS
Montana Medicaid
Medicare
Crime Victims Compensation
Mountain Health Co-op Except Rocky Mountain Plan

In-network status varies by therapist. Not every provider at BSC accepts every plan listed above. Please contact our client care team to confirm whether a specific therapist accepts your plan, or browse individual therapist pages to check insurance details.

Understanding Your Coverage What Insurance Actually Pays For

Insurance can feel confusing — especially when it comes to mental health. Here are the key terms that affect what you'll pay out of pocket. When in doubt, call your insurance provider or ask our team to help you understand your benefits.

Copay

A fixed amount you pay per session, regardless of your deductible. Common copays for therapy range from $20 to $60 per visit.

Deductible

The amount you pay out of pocket before insurance kicks in. If your deductible isn't met yet, you may pay more per session early in the year.

In-Network vs Out-of-Network

Seeing an in-network provider like BSC typically costs you less. Out-of-network care may have higher costs or may not be covered at all.

Mental Health Parity

Federal law requires most insurance plans to cover mental health services at the same level as medical care. You have the right to use your benefits.

Payment How to Pay

Payment is collected at the time of service. We accept the following methods:

Cash & Check
Credit & Debit Card
HSA Card
FSA / HFA Card

Insurance eligibility requires verification and is not a guarantee of benefits or coverage. In-network status varies by clinician. Rates are subject to change. We verify your coverage as part of intake but cannot guarantee specific out-of-pocket amounts — please confirm deductibles, copays, and coinsurance directly with your insurance provider.
